We recently needed help with our jeep's transmission as it was under warranty from work done on it in CT. I needed a local AAMCO repair location in the Philadelphia area as some transmission fluid had been leaking from the underside of the car. I spoke to Matt, the owner, who discussed where he was located and when to drop it off. I was pleased today to pick up our Jeep with the transmission's seal fixed- no more leaks! The service and repair I received was professional, knowledgeable and painless as it was covered under warranty. After reading tough stories about some AAMCO locations, I am happy to report this repair shop is one you can rely on for help and other car issues. Thanks Matt!

These guys go above and beyond. Truly honest people that aim to please. The owner Matt has been patient and fair with the recent problems I've been having with my Jeep. While fixing my rear differential I noticed they installed a new E-brake for me for free.  Another time I was getting it inspected they tightened my shifter knob which had been loose for months - free of charge. I highly recommend these guys. They don't just fix transmissions, I now use them as my mechanics for any work I need done.

If you live near here and take your car anywhere else, you're an idiot.

Honest mechanics in an industry that has been tainted by countless dishonest ones. I've taken my car here multiple times for minor problems and they always fix it with quality, expeditious work. They've never tried to scare me into fixing something that isn't worn or needs replacement, as it seems every other shop does.

I moved to Philly a little under 2 years ago and needed to find a place that could work on a VW and not charge and arm and a leg like the dealerships do. I tried multiple shops around the Manayunk/Roxbourgh area (Pepboys, dealerships, small shops), but none of them had stellar service and the majority of the people working there couldn’t care less if they actually fixed your car right or if you needed it back by a certain time. Thus lead to trying out Aamco on Ridge Ave. This place is wonderful. The manager, Matt, is nice, trustworthy and willing to spend a little extra time helping you out and the prices are much lower than anywhere else I have visited. They always have my car done by the time I need it and usually can get the service done within a day or 2 of calling to set up an appointment. I have recommended this place to many people already and will continue to do so. They are the only service place I know that will always charge a fair price and really value you as a customer.

My wife and I recently dropped off our car for an inspection and oil change. Matt did a great job accommodating our schedule and did a great job explaining the additional work (brakes) that we needed. They weren't pushy and got our permission before doing any of the work which is great because we have been burnt before from a dealership. If you need a trustworthy shop for service I highly recommend Aamco on Ridge. They treat you right!

I have had countless problems with my Ford Escape until I brought it here. They have been nothing but helpful and awesome! They get things done quickly and don't try to cheat you like the dealers and a lot of other auto repair places.

The 1 you can trust I've been coming here for over a year now.mechanics are very hard to trust because a car is very important to daily life.i'm pretty sure many people have been burned by places like "p.boys, neighborhood shops, and the very expensive dealership$".but here,i have found a home for all my car needs.i 1st started with only my car, then added my wife car, then my mothers' car.they have built up my confidence and trust in them over the year.we all have different cars and they fix them all.the prices are very reasonable,if i get it checked out, they put that money towards the work needed.also,if theres a recall to any car, they inform me of it first to take to the dealership to get it fixed for free.finally whatever price im quoted is the price i pay.love these guys, they dont break things, they fix it all.

This is the only place I take my car now! I have a Toyota Celica GTS and the guys here are very helpful and the manager Matt is very nice and straight forward. I've had various little problems with my car and AAMCO was able to do all the repairs. The repairs were fairly priced too and I've never had a problem with a repair that was done on my car. I always recommend this mechanic shop to all my friends.

The experience there was great. Matt the manager was very fair and helpful, explaining what work my car needed and why it was needed. Prices are also decent. Time to repair and price matched the estimate. Everyone was nice and I was treated well, they even fixed my electronic remote for me for free!
